Installing a Firefox extension from a site from which you haven’t previously installed extensions can be confusing. This is because Firefox protects users from accidentally installing extensions from unknown sites. Still the process can be confusing.
Here’s how to install DownThemAll.
Install DownThemAll: click here
The first time
- Click on the Install button above.
A yellow warning box (gray in Mac OS X) will appear at the top of your browser window, asking you if you want to allow installation of extensions from this site. - Click on the Edit Options button.
- Click on the Allow button.
- Click on the OK button
- Now click on the Install button again.
This time, there should be no warning at the top of your screen. Instead, the Software Installation dialog box should appear inviting you to install the extension. Follow the instructions below to continue.
After you’ve added this site to your list of “allowed sites”:
- Click on the Install link above.
The Software Installation dialog box should appear - Click on the Install Now button
After the extension is installed, you’ll see a confirmation message - Restart Firefox to activate the extension you’ve just installed
